BIOGRAPHY OF MY PHOTOGRAPHICAL PATH

I live and work in Catania, Sicily, where I was born in 1969. I started to take pictures when I was in my teens, even if those years were often unsuccessful, since it was difficult for me to transfer my photograms on paper. It happened because I could only use the traditional printing circuits and it was impossible to check darkroom process. For this reason I gradually stopped my photographical activity until 2003, when I realized that the digital era had reached advanced levels and, at last, I could have the total control of the final realization of my works.

Starting from that moment the creative process turned on again so that I could realize the photos that you can look in this catalogue.

Till now I have explored landscapes, cities or nature, still-life, portrait, reportage and conceptual images. I don’t make distinctions between analogical o digital, compacts, SLRs, Polaroid or webcam, the most important think is what I see, I feel and the way I can transform it in photos and I can transfer the result on a tactile and visual support always available.
